Code 3 commonly means another session is active
Troubleshooting

Mega888 Code 3 error

Resolve the previous session before assuming the password or account is wrong.

Quick fix

Close the app on the previous device, wait for the session to expire, restart and try once on the device you want to use.

Mega888 Code 3 error message indicating an active session on another device

Resolve the session

  1. Close the app on the previous device.
  2. Wait briefly for the session to expire.
  3. Restart the app on the current device.
  4. Try once using the correct credentials.
  5. Ask the verified operator to end sessions if it continues.

Unrecognized session

If you do not recognize another active session, treat it as a security problem. Change the password through the verified operator and secure the linked email or phone account.

Public Test IDs may already be in use. Choose another authorized demo credential rather than attempting account recovery.

Why a previous session matters

An app can keep a session active for a short time after it is closed, especially when the connection ended suddenly. Give the previous device time to complete logout before trying the new one. Opening and closing the app repeatedly on both devices can extend the confusion.

Use only one trusted device for the next attempt. If the message clears, no password change may be needed. If it returns consistently, note both device models and ask the verified account issuer to end active sessions.

Personal account or shared Test ID?

On a public demo ID, another user may simply be testing at the same time. Do not try to take control by changing its password. Leave it and use another authorized Test ID as explained in the demo access guide.

On your personal account, an unrecognized session is more serious. Secure the linked phone, messaging account or email first, then request a session reset and password change through the established recovery channel.

Watch for false recovery offers

No helper needs a banking PIN or payment authorization code to close an app session. Do not install a “session unlock” APK or remote-access tool. Compare unexpected instructions with the fake-agent warning page.

If the wording on screen is not actually Code 3, return to the broader login failed checklist rather than forcing this solution onto a different problem.
